Ashley turns 29!!

We celebrated with Ashley and her family and friends for her 29^th birthday at . We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with everyone. I am so lucky to have her as a friend and invite me to all the special events in her life. Happy Birthday Ashley!! Love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

My birthday was very low key this year and that is just what I loved. The day before my birthday Grant too me to Splash Adventure waterpark and our friends James and Diana joined us!! We had so much fun and felt like kids again. On my actual birthday I babysat for half of the day and then relaxed the rest of the day until dinner. For my birthday dinner the whole family and grants family all went to dinner at Costas it was delicious. I got some wonderful gifts and had a great time. I am so blessed to have so many people in my life to celebrate another birthday with me. 

We're ENGAGED!!!

It was Father's Day!! Grant and I had separate plans and were planning to do our own thing and meet up later. I went to my cousin’s baptism and then I went to meet Grant at his Grandparents house in Mccalla where he was grilling out with the family to celebrate fathers day over there. After we ate and hung out with the family we went to see Grady and Mona (Grants other grandparents). When we arrived we remembered that they had gone to the Alabama Theater for a movie (which Grant already knew and was part of his plan the whole time). I had to go to my parent’s house for dinner and to celebrate father's day with Charlie. Grant said he wanted to go but really needed to come back and spend the evening with Grady and Mona. I said that is totally fine and went on my way to my parent’s house. While I was at my moms, I enjoyed a wonderful nap and some yummy BBQ!! My mom started texting someone and was saying it was someone from work.(It was really Grant telling her he was on his way)  During this time Grant was texting me asking how dinner was and telling me he was at his grandparents just hanging out. All of a sudden the doorbell rang and Mom told me it was one of her co-workers dropping something off and to go answer the door. As I opened the door, Grant was down on one knee!! I freaked out and kind of closed the door lol, he quickly pushed it opened and said "Jami you are the love of my life, WILL YOU MARRY ME!! I started saying is this for real are you serious!! My step-dad said tell him something!! AND I SAID YES YES YES!! 

Grant chose to propose to me on father’s day for two amazing reasons!! 

The first is he wanted to include both of our families and what better way then to do it right in front of them. The second is he wanted to do something that included my daddy who is in heaven and this was his way of knowing he was there and watching over me because it was father's day. My daddy and I share many things from our name to a birthday!! My birthday on earth and my daddy’s birthday in heaven!! So to have another special and meaningful event be shared with him is fabulous!! 

Grayson's 1st Birthday!!

My friend Nikki’s little boy was turning ONE and she had a sweet little man birthday at her house for family and friends to celebrate sweet little Grayson. I was so excited that I was in town to go and experience his first big birthday. She of course also had a theme and everything fit together perfectly from the wreath on the door to the party favors that the kids took home. Everything was great and came together for her little mans big day. I hope Grayson enjoys all his wonderful gifts. I got him a ceramic train set that my friend Jamie Kolb painted!! She is so talented!! For all my friends when their children turn One I give them a special gift that they will always have as they grow up!!! I loved being part of his special day!!

Mr. and Mrs. Parker Gargis!!

Today one of my best friends got married!!! Meagan and I have been friends for 9 years and have never had a fight or disagreement ever!! She is a true friend and we always will be there for each other in this thing called life. Today she is marrying her best friend who she has actually known since preschool. Parker and Meagan grew up together even though they never dated until they were all grown up. They are now getting married and are so stinking cute together. They got married at Reid Chapel at Samford which is gorgeous by the way and then had their reception at Ted’s Garage downtown. The whole evening was perfect from the food to the band that jammed out all night long. I was so honored to be a bridesmaid and stand by her side as she starts this new journey of her life. I wish her and Parker many years of happiness’. Love you both!!

Rehearsal Dinner for Parker and Meagan!!

Meagan and I have been friends for almost 9 years now and I am super excited for her to be marrying the man of her dreams!! They are getting married at Samford Chapel! We ha the rehearsal and then had the dinner at Cantina downtown!! They had margaritas and appetizers!! It was a great evening!!

Bridesmaid Luncheon!!

One of my dearest friends Meagan is getting married tomorrow and today she celebrated with all her bridesmaid at a wonderful luncheon!! It was amazing and so sweet!! I felt like we were somewhere on vacation because of how peaceful it went. She gave us the cutest gifts!! She did everything herself from writing a poem to picking out the perfect bottle of wine for each girl. 

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Charles!

Tonight Grant and I attended one of my good friends wedding!! Laura Lee Nevins married Matt Charles tonight in a gorgeous ceremony at VHUMC followed by a great reception at The VCC. She looked stunning and everything was beautiful. We had a great time and were so blessed to be part of her big day.
