Candy Corn!!

I decided to get a little crafty after the girls left!! I made a candy corn out of burlap!! I am not too crazy about it but think for the first attempt and free handed it turned out great!! My cousin is using it at her Halloween party tomorrow night, she will add a bow to the top to make it complete.
Here it is......

Baby Basket Shower!!

Today my friends and I hosted a baby basket shower for our good friend Lauren Crooks. She is having a baby boy in February. His name will be Easton Thomas Crooks. I am so excited for Kevin and Lauren and can't wait to meet that sweet little boy.
I had the Beach Basket!! I found so cute items for this basket and was very excited to show it to lauren.
My basket consisted of:
1. Dump Truck
2. Two cute swimsuits
3 2 bibs
4. A turtle ocean scene plate and cup
5. One white onsie and some tiny blue shorts
6. Baby Lotion and sunscreen
7. Diaper Bags (To throw away the dirty diaper on the beach)

It turned out really great!!

Each hostess brought a dish to be served. I made a veggie pizza dish that turned out to be a big favorite of the group. Overall it was a great shower and I think Lauren and Kevin got tons of great stuff. I am very lucky to have such a strong group of girls who I know will be in my life forever. We all have been through a lot and have made so many great memories. I can't wait to see what happens in the next year!!
Congratulation Kevin and Lauren!!

Pumpkin!!!

I made these for the centerpieces for the baby shower I threw today at my house.

Tami's Bridal Tea

I was invited to my friend Tami's Bridal tea today and it was very beautiful and sweet. They had some yummy treats and a wonderful punch that was very tasty. When I walked it I was greeted with sweet hugs from many of my sweet girlfriends and their wonderful moms. We all chatted for a little bit before Tami began to open presents. She got some great things that will look wonderful in her home. I am so happy for Tami and hope she has many years of happiness.

Revamp to My Sewing Table!!

Today I went to my friend Leslie's house and she taught me how to use the Anna Slay Chalk Paint!! Which is fabulous!! All you do is simply paint what ever you want and it will dry smooth and beautiful! I painted my moms old sewing table two different colors. I used the old white and paris gray. It turned out beautiful. While I was painting that Leslie worked on a picture frame she made for my house warming gift for my new house. She also made a burlap turkey for Thanksgiving. She is way more talented than I could ever be. I always have so much fun when I am around her sweet family.
Thanks Leslie!!
Love you!!

Celebrating Nannie's Birthday!!

Tonight my family got together to celebrate one of the greatest women I know's birthday!! My Nannie C. turned 89 today!! I feel so blessed to have the most amazing grandmother anyone could ask for. She is one spunky lady who loves to get her nails done, her hair fixed, and go shopping any day of the week. I am just like her and am so proud to be. We all went out to dinner at a mexican restaurant and had a great time. The waiters all sang Happy Birthday to her and she wore a sombrero. It was a great night!! Next year we will go all out and have a huge party for her when she turns 90!! But thats next year!!
Good Night!!
Happy Birthday Nannie C.

A little Tiger and Football for THE AUBURN TIGERS!!!

These are two of my favorite crafts I have made so far. The first is a Tiger that I had seen many people purchase. Well I decided to make my own version for way less, and I think it turned out great. Here are the different steps I took in the process.

My friend Lois and I decided to work on making burlap footballs for the front door this weekend. I think they turned out great!!

Saying Good BYE

Today was one of the hardest days of my entire life. The time had come to finally say good-bye to our childhood home. It has been a hard couple of months going through everything and packing and moving every weekend. But the time had come and the last weekend to get everything out was here. So we loaded up the last truck full and headed out to my house and my parents new house to drop the last things off. Sunday I came back to get the last of my little things and to have my moments in each room. That was when I lost it, I sat in each room and just remembered all the memories that we had and took it all in. I just pray and hope that a sweet family with kids moves in and starts all new memories. Even though we do not live in that house we still have the most important thing which are all the memories.
Here are some photos of my empty house....
