Sisters 30th Surprise Parties!!

My Sister was turning the big 30 this year and so she decided instead of her planning her birthday like she does every year, she was going to tell us that she wanted a "SURPRISE PARTY". Well its kind of hard to surprise someone who expects a party. But even though she is very impossible to surprise, I was determined to surprise her!

So the planning began to figure out how we were gonna pull of the big SURPRISE! Many messages and text were exchange to figure out times and dates! Finally we decided to two two surprises and with that we were bound to surprise her at one of them.

The first idea was a surprise lunch at Tecate around 11. My mom had asked SB to go to lunch with just her to spend some time with her on her birthday. The second surprise was a party at my house with everyone and then out somewhere for some fun. Scott had told her that he wanted to take her to a nice dinner and then they would meet up with everyone at STARZ for some karaoke. My mom had suggested that they stop by my house and have cake and ice cream since the parents weren't going out. So SB was all down with the plan and agreed to it!

The lunch was great she walked in and we were all ready to say "SURPRISE" when the waiter walked up to her and said are y'all her for the birthday party. She gave a strange place but new at that second something was up. So we still said surprise and had a great lunch!! She was very thankful and glad her friends were there!

After lunch we decided to go down to the Avondale Brewer to taste some beer and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and enjoy SB bday with her!! It was so much fun, but all I kept thinking was my poor mom was at my house doing all the work for the big "SURPRISE PARTY". But I couldn't really tell SB I had to leave to go get ready for her big party! So we finally left around 4:00 and I raced home to help mom finish the cake and snacks!!

Around 7:00 friends started arriving and we all started chatting and waiting on the birthday girl! We had fun catching up and laughing and just enjoying some time together! Then we got the awaited text from Scott that said "Leaving the restaurant". So we all gathered in the living room with our "Jelly Braclets" and "Sunglasses" awaiting the arrival of the BIRTHDAY GIRL! Grant was our look out and gave us play by play of their moves as they approached the stairs.

"SURPRISE SARABETH"
We pulled it off! She was totally in shock and blown away! I truly believe that we surprise her!

We all hung out for a while and played an 80's trivia game and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY before going out on the town to listen to an 80's band to end the night!

Overall I would say it was a total success in both parties!

SB,
I hope you had a memorable 30th birthday. I had so much fun planning it for you! I love you so much and thank GOD everyday that you are my sister and best friend. My life would be miserable if I didn't have you in my life!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SB!

Sundayprepday!!

Today I decided to get all my breakfast, lunches, and snacks ready for the week! This morning I wrote out a list of exactly what I was going to eat and planned out the foods to buy. I planned for breakfast, lunch, and two snacks per day! I then went to the store and got everything for $75 and still have some things that can go into the following week if they last. I then came home and got to work I started with making 2 snacks per day which were celery, carrots, and cucumbers. After cutting them I seperate a it all into 10 bags. Then I started on my lunches which were salads in a jar . I cut up peppers, onions, carrots, tomatoes, and boiled eggs and put them in the bottom. Then covered with baby spinach and then other greens. Topped off with pecans and cranberries. I then made individual dressing for each. I will also have a side of fruit with each salad jar. Finally I made my breakfast for the week. I separated the amount for each shake and cut up the fruit that will go in it to make a delicious protein fruit shake. It all took about 2 hours to prepare and was well worth it.i will do another post at the end of the week to let you know how I did. I plan to do this each Sunday from now on. If you have any ideas to help with ideas for food please share.

Blair turns 30!!!

Today we celebrated Blair's 30th birthday. Blair is my sisters best friend and like a sister to me, I have known her her for about 13 or so years!! We went to play laser tag with a bi group of friends and even though I lost both games it was so much fun. After laser tag we all went an chilled and got ready for the night activities!! We all met back up around 7:30 at LaPaz for some yummy cheese dip and margaritas!! After dinner which didn't end until 10:30 and when the place was closing we then decided where to go next. We went to a bar in 5 points that was having a private party for the ole miss fans. Some how they thought we were old miss fans so we joined in and had a great night! We ended the night around 1:00!!

Grooms Outfit!!

Grant has finally picked what the groomsmen will be wearing on our big day!! Last Friday night we went to start the looking process and were in hopes to find a gray suit. We checked out a few stores and then decided to try one more before calling it a night. We went to Men's Warehouse and looked at there everyday gray suit and thought we had found it and then Grant eyes wondered over and lit up zlike he had just won a million bucks. He had laid his eyes on a Vera Wang gray tux and was in love. We knew that was the one and so now we ha switch back to the boys renting instead of buying. I am glad he found something he is excited about and I can't wait to see him in the outfit!!

New Years Day/ Charlie's Bday

New Years Day is always so much fun to me because it is the last day to celebrate the Holidays and it is also my step dads birthday. We do the same thing every New Years and I love it. We go to lunch at Grants Grandparents and it is always so yummy!  We then came home and chilled and relaxed and then went to celebrate Charlie’s birthday with dinner with my family!! We had yummy steaks, baked potatoes, and salad. And then for dessert we all got individual flavored cupcakes. They were amazing; I got red velvet with cream chees icing!! I enjoyed my last day of the Holiday season with the ones I love and wouldn’t change a thing about it!
Happy Birthday Charlie!!
