“Oh wait its Christmas morning wait no it’s a Tuesday night”

We decided to wait until Sarabeth and Scott returned from Texas to do Christmas. We all went over to my parents house and had wonderful laughs and talks before a delicious meal made by my wonderful mother. She had help from all of us though!! After dinner we sat down to open all the many gifts. We were truly blessed this year with all the gifts from my parents. I surprised them with a special gift. I gave them a turntable and Ipod. The turntable is so cool you can take your records and transfer all the songs to your ipod. They really enjoyed it!! Charlie got gift cards to purchase him a TV!! Sarabeth and Scott got AU/ARK car tags. And my big gift from my parents was a painting class at the Chalk Paint store!! Im so excited about it!!

Christmas Day

We woke up to a beautiful raining day!! Grants family started a new tradition last year where they go to IHOP for breakfast and so that is what we did. We had a delicious meal then headed back to his other grandparent’s house to open gifts with them. They do it a little different then I am used to they pass out all the gifts and then go one by one in opening all the gifts. It was a lot of fun and I got more than I could imagine from both sides of Grants Families!!

After celebrating with them I headed to the Movies to meet my parents for a mini Christmas celebration. We saw War Horse and then headed to my parents house for dinner and another movie!! We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and at a delicious meal of pizza. It was a great night but we missed two very special people SARABETH and SCOTT!!

Christmas Eve Events

Christmas Eve was a great day of wrapping and relaxing!! I then went to the Christmas Eve Service with my parents at our Church!! After church I headed over to Grants Grandparents to celebrate with them. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed playing dirty Santa. Grant got a jar of Apple Pie and I got a cute salt and peppershaker as a birdhouse. After we left there we went to Grants mothers house for our Christmas with them.

West Girls Ornament Swap

This was my second year to be a part of this party. I am so thankful for these great co-workers and friends. This year we had a very low-key party. My good friend Lois hosted it at her house. We all brought an appetizer and an ornament. I decided to get crafty again and make mine. It turned out really cute!! It was a fat Santa!!

Fantasy of Lights

I have always wanted to go to the Fantasy of Lights at Calloway Gardens!! Grant and I loaded up and drove to Montgomery to go to my best friends house. We all went and got a quick lunch then drove hour and half to Georgia to Calloway Gardens. When we got there we looked around for a little bit before going to get our tickets for the big show. We had a little trouble getting the tickets but in the end we got the tickets for the 6:00 show. We all walked around and had an hour to waste before getting on the trolley. When it came time we got on the trolley and were so excited for the show to begin. The lights were absolutely beautiful!! It was so cool to see the lights as animals, people, flowers, and to actually come alive. I highly recommend this incredible show. After the trolley ride we went to the beach to watch two great stories told through lights. We watched the Christmas Story, and Twas the Night before Christmas. After Calloway Gardens we stopped in Auburn on our way home for dinner at Niffers. We ended the weekend with church and lunch!!

Thanks Paul and Brittany for a great weekend!!

Burlap Crazy

Over the last two months I have been a little burlap happy!! I thought it would be a good idea to make up some cute Christmas Burlap Door Hangers and sell them at work. Well it was a big hit I had over 50 orders from trees, stockings, wreaths, bells, candy canes, bulbs, everything!! I sold them for $15 and $20 dollars way under price. It was a good lesson to learn. By the end I had gotten sick of making them and it took the fun out of it. I don’t plan to ever do it again. I think I will just make things up and sell what I make that is more fun to me. I truly believe they will sell if I make them and show them. I don’t like to be rushed so taking orders gets me frustrated and in a hurry where I wont do my best work. So for now I am just creating fun things to make and will show them and if people want to buy so be it. Here are some pictures!!

Josies 1st Birthday and Baptism

My adorable little baby cousin had her 1st birthday the day after the iron bowl. So my mom and sister and I packed up early Sunday morning and drove to Atlanta. She also was being baptized in my Aunts church and so we definitely wanted to make it for that. It was beautiful and her birthday was perfect. So thankful to have made it and enjoyed seeing her turn 1!!!

Iron Bow

We had a great day even though the Tigers didn’t win….I was still proud of my Auburn Tigers and will always be an Auburn Girl. We had a few friends over to the house for a barbeque and to watch the game. At half time I went over to my friends Laura and Josh’s house to hang out and spend some time with them and my other best friends Paul and Brittany Lammon!! I had a great time chatting and socializing with them before returning back to the house!!
