New Years Eve!

We had a wonderful low key but fun New Years! This year my sister won 6 tickets to the comedy club. So my parents, Grant and I, and Sarabeth and Scott went to the 6:30 show featuring Steve M. We all got dressed up and met everyone up there and was escorted down to the first level. The opening act was great, Grant and I got picked on for being engaged and then meeting on-line (Facebook). Pretty much the whole act from him included us. But I loved every minute of it. The main act was great, he was hilarious and I loved it. We got a few appetizers and drinks to hold us over until after. When it was over we decided to go try to get in somewhere but passed and went to Purple Onion. After dinner we said our good-byes to the family. We then went on to our next adventure of the night, which was bowling with some friends. We met our friends Diana and James at the bowling ally for some fun and to ring in the new year. After about 4 games of fun we decided to call it a night. I loved this New Years!!

Happy New Years Eve!!

Girls Annual Christmas Swap

It was that time again to have our annual girls Christmas swap! Every year my high school girls and new girlfriends along the way get together after Christmas to have our Christmas party. Each year we pick a new theme, this year we chose to do “Indoor Home Décor”. I loved the idea and was a little nervous about what I was going to get. But the gift I decided on just stood out to me and so it was on sale and I got the last one! This year we had two friends get sick and one that had company and couldn’t make it. We were so sad not to have them attended but the party must go on for the others. All the girls brought an appetizer for us all to snack on while we chatted. After eating and catching up we began the dirty Santa game. We always have so much fun during the game seeing all the cute items and stealing each others gifts. I love these girls so much and am so thankful at the times we all get together. I would be lost without these girls. Thank you all for being my forever friends!!

CHRISTMAS DAY!

This year Grant and I decided to not do anything for each other since we had just bought a home and had a wedding coming up. So we woke up early to get ready and begin our day. Our first stop was breakfast at 7:00 at Ihop with his Dad’s side of the family and then on to open presents. It takes about 3 hours to open up gifts over there because they are always so generous. We left there around noon and stopped by his parent’s house to wish them a Merry Christmas and chat a little. Then we were on to our last stop of the day, which was to my parent’s house. We all hung out there and ate, played games, and unwrapped gifts!! It was a great Christmas!! I loved going to visit and spend time with all of our families. I wish it didn’t have to end when if did, I could have gone to 100 more places just to see family! This year and every year I am truly blessed by everyone.

Merry Christmas 2012!!

Santa is Coming!!

This year we celebrated Christmas Eve with Grants moms’ side. They always get together and do dinner and dirty Santa on Christmas Eve. This was my first year to be there from start to finish. I loved getting together with everyone and celebrating. After we played and ate we had to make our next stop. We went to Grants parents house to do Christmas with them and open our gifts! Grant got a awesome new grill and stocking stuff and I got a 5 piece luggage set and stocking stuff. We are so blessed by his family and loved spending time with them. After we left there we headed to our last stop of the night, which was my parents house. Every year my sister and I open our Christmas Eve present. We opened our present which was…… PAJAMAS. My mom, sister, and I always get matching pjs (Which I love this tradition). Then we said our goodnights and headed home before starting many more activities the next day.

Candlelight Service

Every year we go to COTH candlelight service a couple nights before Christmas Eve. The whole family goes and then we all go out to dinner after. It is always so neat to see what they are going to put on. This year was very entertaining and funny.
