Dinner with the Williamson's

Tonight we had some of my good friends over for dinner. Chase, Allison, and their little girl Brantley came over to hang out and enjoy some yummy food. We had a great night of catching up and laughing with them. I love when we get together it is always so much fun! We can’t wait to have them over again!!

Grant’s Birthday 2/15/12

Well Grant’s birthday is the day after Valentines day so I always have a busy week!! This year I planned everything for his party! I was so proud of myself. I got everyone together to go eat at Leonardo’s at 6:30. Then we were going to come back to my house since it was so close and have cake and ice cream followed by presents. It was a nice evening and the food was yummy!! I hope he enjoyed it!

Valentines Day 2/14/12

This Valentines Day was very low key but very special! Grant and I decide to stay in and cook since we knew it would be crowded anywhere with out reservations. He came over after I got off work and we were going to do gifts first and then start cooking!! I had his all set up nice and neat and he loved it!! He had all mine in a box with little special notes on it! (Hint The Vow) We cooked steaks, potato fries, and I had asparagus and he had green beans. After dinner we put in a movie and relaxed on the couch! It was a nice romantic evening!!

Mercedes Marathon

MERCEDES MARATHON!!! 

Each year all of the teachers at West will volunteer our time to get up early one Saturday morning and hand out medals to kids that participate in the Mercedes Marathon. We had a great time but it was freezing this year. I am so glad that I work with wonderful people!!

Saturday night I went to my friend Courtney’s wedding reception. Her and Patrick were married on Jan. 21^st at a private ceremony just for family. I was so thankful to be invited to her wedding reception. It was a fun night. It was at a country club off of Grants Mill Road. I am not sure the name of it. We enjoyed wonderful yummy food and cake. They had a live band, which was Courtney’s uncles band. They were fun and entertaining. I enjoyed catching up with everyone and relaxing. Courtney looked beautiful in her white dress. She and Patrick look so in love and I am so happy they found each other. I wish them nothing but happiness.

Brantley Turns 2!!!

One of my best friends little girls turned 2 on January 28th. She had her birthday party on Saturday. She had it at a place called Party on the Move in Bessemer. It was perfect for her age. It had blow up things for the kids to play on and then a side area with other toys. All the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. After about an hour of playing the kids all gathered around while Brantley opened her gifts. I must say that Brantley is a pro when it comes to unwrapping gifts. She did a great job for a 2 year old. After the kids played for a little bit more they gathered in a party room where we sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY and enjoyed pizza and ice cream before all the kids packed up to go NAP!! I am so thankful to be included in my friends children's lives. Even though I do not have any of my own I love to watch their little ones grow and celebrate events in their lives.

Baby Payton!

Payton Elizabeth Bell

Last night I went to meet another friend’s new addition!! My friend Tiffany and her husband welcomed their first little girl on Monday January 30^th. I went up last night to meet little Miss Payton. She is so little and amazing!! She was asleep the entire time I was holding her, but she opened her eyes just as I was about to leave and I snapped a quick picture! Tiffany had a great labor and delivery, but now she is sick with all the crud that’s going around so she is staying a little longer so that she can fully recover before her sweet little family goes home. I know that Chris and Tiffany will be amazing parents and give their sweet little girl so much love and guidance in life. I wish them every bit of happiness to come!

Cross

Well I love to craft and so I had another opportunity to make something. I decided that since my cousin was having a baby girl I would surprise her with one of my burlap door hangers. It took me a while to decide exactly what I wanted to do. I finally decided to make a cross. I traced it out on burlap, then cut and stuffed it! Then I spray painted it pink and have added white dots and then the initials! I think it turned out so cute! I also made a blue one with brown dots and the initials for my friend Amy who works with me she also had her third little boy today. I will post about him when I meet him this week. Hope you like them!
