Bama Rising

As we all know back in April we had a horriable day of tornadoes that affected so many lives in many different ways. Well tonight many country stars like Alabama, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Dereks Bently, Sara Evens, Bo Bice, Kelly Pickler, Luke Bryant and many many others performed. All ticket proceeds and any other money raised tonight went straight to help people affected by the tornadoes. My parents, Sarabeth, Scott, Chris, and I all went together. It was one of the best nights of my life. It was so amazing to see so many people come together for a great cause and to help others who we all may know or not know. It was once in a lifetime event and I will never forget that night and the memories that were made.

Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Mash

One of my co-workers and friend Katie Gray was married tonight!! She and Phillip met about 2 years ago through friends. They got engaged back in September and have been planning her big day ever since.

Katie was a beautiful bride!! She had a short and sweet ceremony at Canterberry United Methodist and followed with a reception at SoHo. She had wonderful food and a live band. I had a great time with all my teachers. It was a great wedding!

SaSa Birthday Dinner!!

One of my good friends from college came up from Auburn to celebrate her birthday. I was so excited to celebrate with her again like the old days. She got here late Friday afternoon and we chatted for a few and got ready and headed to our friends house to meet up with everyone before dinner. We went to dinner at Iguana Grill to celebrate her turning “26”, she got to wear the Sombrero and take a tequila shot!!! After dinner we went back to Chris house to have cake and hang out. It was a great night and I am so thankful for Sara. Her real birthday is June 11th but I had a wedding that night so we celebrated the night before!!

Summer Nights and Cookouts!!

Cookout with FRIENDS!!

Chris and I were invited to a cookout at our friends John and Meredith Livingston home. The boys cooked and hung out outside, while Meredith and I played inside with their little boy Mark. We grilled out burgers and had a great summer night cookout. It was a wonderful night with friends. We are so thankful to have their little family in our lives. Can’t wait to have many more night of cookouts and hangouts with these two!!

My sister as we all know is getting married at the end of July and she has had some great showers hosted by amazing friends and family. This shower was a little bit of everything because it was an “Around the House” theme. It was at her friend Abbotts house and they all did a great job with the food and decorations. She got some great gifts for her new home one-day. I can’t wait until the big day not long and my sister will be a married women. AHHH!!!

Brimstone for the Weekend!!

Brimstone Park

A big group of friends went to Tennessee for the weekend to camp and do a little four wheeling for Memorial Day. We left Thursday and returned late Sunday night. Seven of us rented an RV for the weekend to stay in and it was better than I expected. We managed to keep the place clean and organized the whole time, which is a miracle. We rode all day Friday, Saturday and some on Sunday. It was a great time and new experience for me. I was exhausted when we got home and could barely function. I even met new friends and became closer with others. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
