Ashley Daniel’s Bridal Portraits

Ashley and I have been friends since the summer before my freshman year of HS. Ashley was my big sister in high school and she became a lifelong friend through anything and everything. I was asked to be part of one of the most important moments in a girls life, her bridal portraits. I was honored that she wanted me to experience this special time in her life and would not have missed any second of the day. We started off around 10 in the morning, we went to get her make-up done, then rushed to get her hair done. We then went and got her in her gorgeous dress. Then headed out to Helena to start the picture taking, after about 2 hours here we headed downtown to Morris Avenue to take the rest of the pictures. Here are a few shots from the day. She was gorgeous and the pictures were amazing thanks to her wonderful and talented photographer.

Mini-Baby Shower

Mini-Baby Shower for Ashley W.

One of my best friends from high-school Ashley Waldrop is welcoming her second child in July! Our little group of girl friends always does some sort of shower for special occasions in each others lives and wanted to do something for Ashley. We all decided that since she had already had a big shower from her family we would do a mini-shower for baby Westin. We all chipped in on the pack and play that she wanted and then all got a little something extra. Lauren Crooks graciously opened her home up to us to have the dinner and shower. We all brought something for the meal, and enjoyed time together. We are so excited for Heath, Ashley, and big sister Ava Reese to be adding another gift from god to their growing family. I cannot wait to welcome Westin to the world and for him to join the second additions to our wonderful group of girlfriends.

Mr. and Mrs. Josh Griffin

Josh and Laura have been together almost 8 years, they are made for each other in so many ways. Every time I watch them together you can see the love in their eyes for each other, it is truly an awesome sight. I have watched their relationship grow over the years and am so blessed to have them be apart of my life. Their wedding was held at “Bentley’s on the Bay” in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. It was absolutely perfect and gorgeous. The ceremony was held outside and perfect, then we all went inside to enjoy drinks and food at the reception followed by dancing the night away out on the deck. There were two things I absolutely loved about their wedding,. First, they had put all the special dates in their relationship typed out and framed on each table, and second there party favors were sunglasses with the date of their wedding. Laura is so creative!

Nicole’s 22^nd Birthday Dinner

Nicole and I met in Nov. 08 she has become one of my best friends and has been through a lot with me. Tonight we were invited to celebrate her birthday with her family. She had her birthday dinner at Leonardo’s in Vestavia. It was delicious and I was so thankful to be apart of her night.

BACHELORETTE ON THE LOOSE

Bachelorette Weekend April 23-25

There were six girls that took off to celebrate with the bride her last weekend as a single lady. We went down to Destin and stayed at Brittany’s and Laura’s Parents beach house. We had a theme for each night thanks to Lauren (the brides SIL). We arrived late Friday night and even though we all were exhausted we were still going out to celebrate. Friday was themed “Wiggin Out” we all wore black dress and different color wigs. We went to club overboard and danced the night away, we also were asked to join a VIP section. Saturday we all woke up and it was storming all day, so no laying out for us. We all laid around and watched movies and ate. It was a perfect Saturday to be lazy and enjoy time with friends. Saturday night was the big BACHLORETTE NIGHT, we started off with dinner at a place where they cook Japanese food in front of you. (I forgot the name but it was amazing and hit the perfect spot). We then hurried back to the house because we had got a limo to take us around for the night. We had the limo come from 10:30-2:20, but because of the weather he was 30 min. late so we got it until 3. The limo driver was awesome and took us all around Destin. At the end of the night we were all exhausted and could not wait to go to sleep. Sunday morning we all woke up to beautiful weather, we decided to go out to the beach until it was time to come home. We all had a great trip and loved being part of this wonderful time with Laura. I am so happy and thankful to be apart of her next chapter in life.

We had a wonderful Easter!! We woke up and went to the early service at my church, the “Sunshine Service”. Then we wanted to beat the crowd so we went for breakfast at a new place called “Another Broken Egg”. It was delicious and the wait was nothing compared to what people usually have to wait on holidays. After a great breakfast we went back to the church to take pictures in front of the Cross, that is covered in flowers. We then all went bowling as a family and just spend time together remembering all the blessing we are given.

I have written before about my friend Laura, today was her Bridal Luncheon/Tea that I was so graciously invited too. It was held at a little tearoom in Homewood and was absolutely perfect for her. I enjoyed seeing her open all the wonderful gifts that were given from friends and family. She got a lot of great things to start her new journey with Josh.
