Elf on the Shelf.....

Every year Santa sends one of his elf's to my classroom to watch over my little Kiddos before Christmas. Our elf's name is Jingle and he loves to be silly in our Kindergarten class. Through out the time he was there he would always surprise us when we came to school each day. These are just some of the things Jingle did during the time at WEST! 

- Draw a pretty picture of himself!! 

- Have story time while resting!

- Played Hide and Seek in the Poinsettia! 

- Unwrapped some gifts! 

- Played in the glitter in the Arts and Crafts Center!

- Took a bubble bath to get all the glitter off!

- Played on Starfall! 

We were very sad to say good-bye to Mr. Jingle but we all told him how special he was to us and that we would see him next year.

Engagement Party!!

We finally have started the Wedding Festivities!! I babysit for an amazing family three nights during the week and the youngest is one of my flower girls. Sharron offered to throw me an Engagement party! It was amazing! She did a beautiful job from the food, drinks, to the amazing decorations. She also had cups and Koozies  make that said GRANT AND JAMI! She also had ornaments made with our wedding colors on them. One thing I loved was the mini wedding cake she had made that we got to bring up and freeze. Hopefully we will eat it soon! Anyone want to join for some yummy cake? I loved having all of our family and friends there to celebrate this amazing journey we are on. I can’t believe how fast time is going, before I know it will be MAY 4^TH!!!

Kindergarten Christmas Swap

Each year all the Kindergarten teacher get together for our annual “Dirty Santa” Christmas swap. I love all of these ladies so much and am so thankful to be a part of an amazing group to teach with. 

WAR EAGLE/ ROLL TIDE

Even though the game wasn’t how I wanted it (even though I expected the outcome) we had a fun day with family! We had both of our families come to our house to watch the Iron Bowl! We had lots of goodies to eat and some yummy chili that I made! 

Time to Decorate!

This was our first Christmas in our new house. So I bought a few new things to decorate with and made a few things. I love how everything turned out. After moving furniture around and figuring out where everything went the house looked amazing. I loved every part of our house at Christmas time. Next year I want to do more and already planning for other things to add to the collection. 

BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING

Last year Judy (Grants Mom) started the tradition to go shopping together the night of Thanksgiving. This year we made sure to plan out our night ahead of time. We first started off at Wal-Mart where I wanted two things; I wanted a 15p.c picture frame set for my sister and a leather bench seat for our den. We had it all planned out and got what we wanted. Then we headed to Target to get Judy’s vacuum that she gets every year. I also got a fire pit and a cozy soft blanket. We left Target at 10 and still had two hours until Belk would open. I knew I had to go to Belk to get several pairs of boots. We hung out in the car until the doors opened and then slipped on in, we fought the crowd and both got separated for a little while until we were reunited in the shoe department when several boots in our hands. We found a spot and looked through and tried on before we settled on our purchases and checked out in the makeup section. We then headed to Macys to get a few gifts and then headed back to the house to rest for a couple of hours before getting back out. Around 4 the next morning we headed back out to Home Depot to get our last purchase of the night. We both wanted the white/color light Martha Stewart tree. At 5:00 the doors opened and we rushed in got our tress got through the check out line and headed back home to empty the car. Then Judy went home and I went to bed and slept until noon or so the next day. We always have so much fun when we are together!!
